It all started on a cold north Texas wintry day, when he pulled out his dad’s Hank Williams and The Drifting Cowboys record. He was just a boy. He listened to every word, the fun, up-tempo songs made him smile, and the sad songs made him wonder how such heartache could sound so beautiful. As his love of songs grew, there were new discoveries from country, folk, and rock & roll to jazz, and artists from Hank, Woody, and Cisco to the Cosmic Cowboys of Austin. So SW plotted his own path like those who went before: he taught himself guitar, travelled the country in search of life and his own experience. He found it, and is creating his own songs to his own music, which you are now enjoying.
