This is a summary.
This is a pivotal moment. By contributing to this cause, you’re not just funding a clinical trial—you’re investing in a future where breast cancer is caught early, treatment is more effective, and lives are saved.
Let’s make this vision a reality
*With every donation of $100 or more to Maggie’s Breath Campaign, you’ll receive a certificate for a FREE breast cancer screening using our innovative breath analysis technology—once approved by the U.S. FDA.*
Your support not only helps advance life-saving cancer research but also ensures early detection for yourself or a loved one. Together, we can revolutionize the future of breast cancer screening, saving lives of women around the globe.
SHARE:
Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women worldwide. Early detection is critical for saving lives, yet the reality is sobering: too many women are not getting screened.
In the U.S., only 62% of women follow the recommended screening frequency. Globally, the picture is even more dire—fewer than 30% of women in many countries adhere to recommended protocols. This gap in screening has devastating consequences. In countries where screening adherence is low, nearly 70% of breast cancer cases are diagnosed at stage 3 or later when treatment is less effective, more costly, and outcomes are significantly worse.
Why Aren’t Women Getting Screened?
Several barriers keep women from accessing life-saving screenings:
These barriers highlight an urgent need for a solution that is accessible, affordable, painless and culturally sensitive.
A Breath of Fresh Air: Introducing Maggie’s Breath
Maggie’s Breath represents a revolutionary shift in breast cancer screening. It’s non-invasive, painless, affordable, and quick—everything a traditional mammogram is not.
Here’s how it works: A patient breathes into a device to capture her breath and in just five minutes, the system analyzes their breath for specific gas patterns associated with breast cancer. There’s no discomfort, no radiation, and no need for shielded rooms or extensive staff training.
Maggie’s Breath is designed to be administered right in a doctor’s office, or small clinic making screening accessible to women in communities where mammogram centers are unavailable or impractical.
To bring this life-saving technology to women worldwide, Maggie’s Breath is seeking funding to conduct a large-scale clinical trial in Mexico. Small-scale trials have already shown that breath analysis can detect breast cancer with sensitivity and specificity comparable to mammograms.
Funding Breakdown:
Total: $500,000
We have contracted with Christus Muguerza hospitals in Monterey, Mexico to provide patients and facilities. We have recruited a talented oncologist associated with Christus Muguerza hospital as the primary investigator.
We have initiated discussions with investors and distribution partners. Discussions are underway with equity investors and other private charities to provide operating funding and clinical trial funds.
If we fail to fund and advance this technology, the global toll of breast cancer will only worsen. The number of cases is increasing at an alarming rate, with some countries seeing annual growth rates exceeding 2%. Without a viable alternative to current screening methods, millions of women will continue to go unscreened, and the death rate will climb.
We believe Maggie’s Breath has the potential to save 500,000 lives every year. By removing barriers like cost, discomfort, and access, we can change the future of breast cancer detection—and survival—for women around the world.
