Kids take the lead judging cancer innovation and shaping the future of pediatric care
Thumbs Up for a Cure is a one-of-a-kind event where children take the lead, asking bold, honest questions to biotech innovators developing new treatments for pediatric cancers, and casting their votes with a simple thumbs up or thumbs down.
Their voices cut through complexity, bringing clarity, urgency, and heart to the innovations that matter most, while the audience is invited to weigh in through their donations – directly supporting the most promising breakthroughs on the Music Beats Cancer platform.
The evening will feature a special musical performance by renowned, Grammy-nominated jazz artist Yosvany Terry, creating a powerful setting where innovation, community, and culture come together in support of children with cancer.

Tough2Gether is a powerful advocate for children and families affected by DIPG and other pediatric brain cancers, championing innovative approaches that offer new hope where treatment options remain limited. Through their involvement in Thumbs Up for a Cure, children whose lives have been impacted by childhood brain cancer will take center stage, engaging directly with biotech innovators during the Q&A session. Their thoughtful and often difficult questions will challenge founders to explain the science, potential impact, and promise behind their technologies in a way that is both meaningful and accessible. By giving these young voices a platform, Tough2Gether helps ensure that the patients and families most affected by these diseases remain at the heart of innovation.
